Michael Rowland Receives USFSA Appointment
The US Figure Skating Association notified SCNC member Michael Rowland of his appointment as a Regional Accountant. Michael was a Prospective Account for the last 2 years, and has served as an accountant at many non-qualifying and basic skills competitions, including the Dogwood Open. Congratulations to Michael!
Erynn Komes Wins in Vienna!
The US Figure Skating Association selected club member Erynn Komes, along with nine other U.S. skaters, to compete in the Hellmut Seibt Memorial skating competition in Vienna, Austria. The competition is a "Club International Competition." The Club International Competition programs offers the chance for USFSA members to experience a non-qualifying competiton in a foreign country. The Hellmut Seibt Memorial was held February 5-10, 2008.
Erynn competed in the Novice Girls 93 competition and finished first out of eighteen! See the full results on the competition's website.
