Skating Club of North Carolina: Home Page

The Skating Club of North Carolina is located in Raleigh, North Carolina and represents skaters throughout the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill areas. Our goal is to promote the sport of figure skating as well as the personal growth and development of our members through a positive figure skating experience. We welcome new members to join our club.

It's Great to Skate!

Join the Skating Club of North Carolina in celebrating National Skating Month. We will be hosting an "It's Great to Skate" clinic on Saturday, February 4 from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. at the Raleigh Iceplex. The $15 fee for the clinic will include skate rental, public skating session, group lessons taught by professional coaches and the chance to watch exhibitions from some of our National and Junior National competitors.

Test Reminder:

There is a March test session scheduled for March 10, 2012. The application is due postmarked by February 11th, 2012, or handed in by February 15, 2012. The Test Application is now available. Please read our Rules for Testing.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Junior Nationals Competitors!

CONGRATULATIONS Krystal Edwards and Balazs Nagy who placed 9th in the Championship Round of Juvenile Pairs; Alina Efimova and Kevin Kwong who placed 10th in the Championship Round of Juvenile Dance; and Balazs Nagy who placed 11th in the Championship Round of Intermediate Men at the 2012 Junior Nationals in Lansing, Michigan..

SCNC Nationals Skater!

Congratulations to Jessica Hu for qualifying to Skate at the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose, California on January 22-29. Hu started her Naional Championship journey by finishing first in the South Atlantic Regional Championships in Astin, PA in October. She went on to place 3rd in the Eastern Sectionals in Jamestown, NY in November and that qualified her for the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championship.
